Well done to young Tom E for taking 3rd place in the Men's Foil and also to young Gaurav and Alwyn for reaching the last 8 and for. Tom R., Nick and Jean slid into 9th, 12 and 15th place respectively on a sports hall floor that was somewhat lacking in traction.

Congratulations to Tarenn for winning the Ladies South East Intermediate Foil. Although there were only 7 entrants in the Women's Foil, the final was hard fought, going down to the wire at 14-14 before Tarenn took the contest with a successful parry-riposte.

Tarenn was also credited with a yellow card for Un-Lady-Like-Language when she missed an earlier parry-riposte and exclaimed the 4-letter venacular for excrement. Considering the prestigous venue of Worth School, it was suggested that she could have first curtsied before cursing, or made a more refined choice of words.

Our thanks to Eileen, her fellow organisers and Worth School for hosting a nice, fun and friendly event.
